Rancid drops a tour update from the road!
August 15th, 2006
Hey everyone, We are really excited kicking off the second leg of our tour with the first of three shows on Wednesday August 16th in Washington DC. First we want to thank all of the people and all of the bands who came to see us and to support us on the first leg. We had a great time and we hope all you guys did too. With over a 150 songs to choose from every night, each set will be unique to itself, in other words you will not hear the same set twice. We have a lot of songs to choose from and some sets will be graced with songs never played live or songs from operation ivy and both Lars Frederiksen and the bastards records. We are really excited to get out there and see everyone.
Please know that tickets are selling out fast so get them now by accessing the shows section of our website. Also xm satellite radio has been playin 96 straight hours of rancid radio, so for those who have it we hope your enjoying yourself. The rancid dvd that includes all our music includes all our music videos, some never before seen in public is coming soon, so keep checking our website for updates.
We have new tour dates dates going up all the time so keep checking back to see when we are coming to your town.
Also we will have photos from the tour and updates from the road soon.
XM SATELLITE RADIO also broadcasts "Rancid Radio" on "Fungus 53" five times a week with your host Lars Frederiksen. Lots of guests, banter, and most importantly punk rock, featuring the segment JEFF'S PIX where we play all the records you send too:

I heard from some kind of friend .. I really hope Lars will get better.. I really hope they will be able to keep the music going. Cheers for Rancid.

Lars, We love ya!!!
Montreal, August 31st
After an incredible opening ( Sammy, Ruby soho...), during 7 years down, Lars felt on the ground. He was on the stage on his back. They all stopped playing. The show was cancelled... Lars was on his way to the hospital. Tim and Matt politely told us that they will be back in MTL soon.
LARS, We love ya and your band... the greatest punk rock band on earth... don't forget... you guys are INDESTRUCTIBLE!
