Sage Francis hits the road for tour!

(Epitaph, Los Angeles, CA) Coming off his most successful record to date, A Healthy Distrust, SAGE FRANCIS is touring North America this fall, spreading awareness about the website, is a grassroots, non-profit, web-based community that is dedicated to chronicling and resisting corporate attacks on democracy, workers, human rights, fair trade, business ethics and the environment. The shared goal of the website is to help people become more informed and conscious consumers. This is being accomplished via a vast database of easily searchable corporate and political information designed to aid responsible citizens, progressive thinkers and activists, alike. As SAGE FRANCIS explains, "Rather than just saying "Fuck Clear Channel" we are being pro-active and offering information on why companies like that are actually detrimental to society."

On the heels of this objective, SAGE FRANCIS plans to take his unique sound and style out on the road for a month-long tour of North America with fellow artists Sol.iLLaquists of Sound and Sole!

In addition to his touring, SAGE FRANCIS is busy putting the final touches on a new retrospective DVD, which contains interviews and behind-the-scenes footage as well as a ton of other "surprises." The DVD also contains a 40-minute feature of live performance bonus content. The DVD will be released via Epitaph Record in November of 2005.

SAGE FRANCIS was heralded by Blender Magazine for his style with the following quote, "...this booming indie eccentric completes his journey from the battle circuit to the word of self-help, encouraging you to challenge authority, read Kerouac and listen to Johnny Cashed. But the hypervulnerable Francis is no bumper-sticker rapper -- his fire-and-brimstone confessionals are as complex as they are venomous, especially on the counterculture stomp of "The Buzz Kill" or the firearms-as-phallus rap "Gunz Yo." It's a rare thing: hip-hop to soothe, rather than hurt your feelings."
