Today's the day. The moment of truth. What's your excuse going to be? Couldn't find the time? Had something better to do? Think your vote doesn't count? These are all excuses for being a pathetic, apathetic lazy American. Thousands of people have fought and died for your right to vote. There are people all over the world who have no say in how they are governed. By not exercising your constitutional right to let your voice be heard, you do these people a grave injustice, not to mention the future generations who will suffer years from now if the gears of democracy grind to a halt because no one felt it was worth it. On the ballot today are propositions that will directly influence your civil liberties and livelihoods, contests for elected officials that will be representing your opinions and concerns to congress, and perhaps most importantly of all, we will be electing a President and Commander-in-Chief who will represent our country to the rest of the world. It is your duty as a citizen of the United States to be informed and to make informed decisions. This is the only way democracy will thrive. Get out there and vote and do your part, otherwise you have no right to complain. PEACE!
